According to a press release, Warid Telecom, in its bid to support the industry in Pakistan, has recently appointed the music band ‘Jal’ as a brand ambassador and sponsored the band’s second album, “Boondh - a drop of Jal”.
“Jal - the band” is a collaboration between three exceedingly gifted individuals; Gohar Mumtaz (the lead and rhythm guitarist, composer, lyricist and vocalist), Farhan Saeed (the lead vocalist) and Shazi (Bassist).
The band has been very successful in its career since October 2004 with hits titled, “Aadat” and “Lamhey”, along with other great songs. Both of these songs were chart-busters and they penetrated India’s Bollywood music and film industry.
Since then, the band has won four Indus Music Awards, one MTV Asia Award for Favourite Artist and Sahara Sangeet Awards in USA for the Best South Asian Band. With great anticipation from fans, their latest album is set to rock the charts with 12 melodious tracks and two slower versions. The artistes are proud to call the work their own as they take sole responsibility for the creativity of the album.
