PTA asked to provide complete data of unverified SIMs

Senate Standing Committee on Interior has directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and cellphone companies to provide the complete data of the 11 million unregistered and un-verified SIMs within one week. “If they failed to provide the complete data, stern action will be taken against the companies, which will be heavy fine or cancellation of the licenses”, said Senator Talha Mehmood, Chairman Senate Standing Committee.
