Countries Visiting This Site!

Author | 21.08.2007 | Category Uncategorized

Yay! Site Stats show that we’ve had hits from the US, Brazil, Australia, Luxembourg, Romania, Belgium, Thailand, Singapore, UAE and Japan and of course a TON of people from Pakistan and India (primarily because that is mostly who is on my communication lists…)! Yesterday’s stats also showed about 300 people stopping by to say hello! Wonderful! Keep visiting! It’s always exciting to know who’s checking in!

(Please note: Though I can see where people are coming from, I obviously do NOT know your identity or anything else about you. If anyone is concerned about how this info comes my way, please write to me at admin@ef-mnp2007.com and I shall most certainly enlighten you!)

News from Brazil…

Author | 21.08.2007 | Category Uncategorized

Dear Friends, I am just testing this wonderful new site that Rabia built. I would strongly ask you to collaborate with news, photos, texts, jokes, and whatever you think it could be interesting to keep us always in touch!

Keila and I are preparing for a trip to India. We will stay there for 14 days, in the first two weeks of october, and we are already following the complex visa process… But we will manage to do it. We have already the tickets, which is a nice begining. It will be wonderful to stay again with Mandira and Ratish. The main problem is that we cannot take the brazilian ice-cream with us….

Ads for a Cause

Author | 19.08.2007 | Category Uncategorized

Welcome to the site and I sincerely hope we’re marking things off our wishlist of communication methods! Just wanted to let you know that I’m going to try and plug in some ads on this site and the reason for that is this:

I’d like to dedicate whatever petty amount we can generate for some cause, to initiate a fund that we can help an organization or charity with, and this is certainly open for discussion amongst the Fellows. In the meanwhile, just a request for you to click on the ads everynow and then so we can atleast begin to gather something… it might not be much, but it will be a start for something much bigger! Thanks!

Koby Haber to Change Career?!

Author | 18.08.2007 | Category Uncategorized

Koby Haber (Israel) will resign as the national budget director in October 2007. “During the Fellowship, We decided that enough is enough and we need to make changes. That is what I plan to do!” Koby goes onto say, “Maybe I’ll be the first one to change his career after the EF 2007.” as he jokingly hints at John Wolf’s statistic of the fact that 40% of Fellows change their career after going through the EF program. We wish Koby the very best and continue to root for him to be the next big thing the world is looking for…

MEDIA-THAILAND: Coup Masters Ban Community Radio

By Marwaan Macan-Markar

BANGKOK, Oct 6 (IPS) - While Thailand’s military-appointed prime minister seeks international approval and Bangkok’s affluent citizens continue to praise last month’s coup, a different reality is unfolding in the country’s north and north-east provinces. One word sums it up: censorship.

Emine, Christian and Theodora Meet in Romania!

Author | 18.08.2007 | Category Uncategorized

Three’s Company!
To enlighten you and and you all: Christian and Theodara are doing really well and we met at a beautiful restaurant La Fisze on a water front in Bukarest tonight, where we catched up and enjoyed being together and toasting on you all and the fellowship! Norok (see pic)! We watched the MNP slideshow and shared our memories and feelings. We miss you guys!!

It was great meeting Christian and Theodora and experiencing the real life of Bukarest, after spending two days in a OSCE conference (on Antisemtism, Islamohobia, Christianophobia and other forms of related intolerance) in the Palace of the Parliament, built on directions of the former President Ceauscescu, which is the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. The building houses the Parliament, the Senate, the Court and is still only occupied 60% of its space!!

So the lesson, if you really want to get to learn a country/city: call

your friends;-)
