PSEB conducts RHCE training program

KARACHI: Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) conducted a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) training programme for IT professionals of leading public and private IT companies recently.

Thirty IT professionals participated in this nine-day training programme in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi which was organised free of cost under PSEB’s project Open Source Resource Centre (OSRC).

The programme aimed to convince companies, public/private organisations, institutes and SMEs to migrate to a more cost-effective open source working environment and the participants will be certified after passing RHCE exam in October 2008 for which international invigilators will be visiting Pakistan soon.

Participants of the training programme included industry’s experienced IT personnel, network and system administrators, IT managers, telecom industry network engineers, IT consultants and experienced professionals working in a Linux/UNIX environment with IT companies in Pakistan, a statement said.
